Director Biography

Steven Coles: Steven was born and raised in Tamworth in the Midlands, and has lived in Leicestershire for the last 20 years. His adventure into filmmaking came later in life and ENTER the Dark Woods is his directorial debut. Steven's exploration of film was shaped by Covid and online film courses. 7P Productions was formed via Zoom by a small group of Leicestershire and London based filmmakers. This warm, constructive and eclectic group supported each other to write scripts and make short films together. 7P Productions has gone on to collaborate with filmmakers across the country. As a Clinical Psychologist he brings a unique angle to filmmaking and focuses on the emotional and cultural drives of humanity. His extensive work with trauma shapes his darkened vision, whilst retaining hope for redemption.
