Director Biography

Pol Diggler. Barcelona. Director, editor, and film teacher. Passionate about daring and innovative narratives, constantly seeking new concepts to surprise and provoke audiences. His projects have achieved over 300 awards worldwide, with selections in 600 festivals including OSCAR, GOYA, BAFTA, or MÉLIÈS qualifiers. Winner of the Méliès d'Argent 2024, the Paul Naschy Award 2020 at Sitges Film Festival, Audience Award at BIFFF 2021, the TAC Terror Arreu de Catalunya Award (Best Catalan Short Film of the Year 2021), and Official Selections at festivals such Málaga, Fantasia, or Fantaspoa. He is currently developing his first feature film. He has worked with various production companies and advertising agencies for brands such as Pepsi, KONE, Familia Torres, La Caixa, Desigual and Conforama. His radio experience as a presenter, scriptwriter, and technician has allowed him to work and collaborate on programs like Va de Cine (Radio 4 RNE), Empanada Cultural (Ràdio Desvern, Ràdio Fabra), and El CinePodcast de La Perla 22 (BCN Film Fest). He has conducted courses on creativity, directing, editing, and production at Moscow Film School, Sitges Industry, MasterD, Cine y Acción, Presó Quatre Camins, and Catalonia Film School. Coordinator and teacher of the educational program #femcinema aimed at high school students at Institut Nou Patufet. Short film programmer at the Gáldar Film Festival, he has served as a jury member for the Premios Forqué, Mostra de Curtmetratges Dr. Mabuse, Premios TAC Terror Arreu de Catalunya, BCN Fantasy Film Fest, Porn Film Festival, FIC-CAT International Catalan Film Festival, Festival de Sci-Fi Terror y Fantasía (Colombia), Sinevizyon Fest (Turkey), Skepto International Film Festival (Italy), Starling Film Festival (England), and Black Country Horror Shorts (United States).
