Director Biography - Guillaume Heulard

Passionate about cinema from a very young age, it was only logical that Guillaume turned to film for his studies. He graduated from the CinéCréatis school in Nantes in 2011 and started working in the visual effects industry, a field that he would soon leave to devote himself to directing. He began by directing economic programs, as well as sports, for the web and television. In 2012, he co-directed The Things They Left Behind, a short film adapted from a "dollar-baby" (a short story by Stephen King for which non-exclusive rights can be acquired for a symbolic dollar) with Stéphane Valette. Released in 2013, this short film won the Jury Prize at the Strasbourg Film Festival and was selected for several festivals around the world. The same year, he directed the making-of of Stéphane Meunier's feature film Un village presque parfait (original title). In 2014, he released a concept trailer adapted from the Russian novel, Metro 2033. The project was spotted by the producers of The Hangover, Horrible Bosses, The Butterfly Effect, The Ring, A History of Violence... Guillaume then signed with a manager at the Benderspink company and started developing feature film projects. Between 2015 and 2020, he worked as a director on about fifty commercials (Interflora, La Poste...), for the web and television. He also directed several music videos. Guillaume has been continuing his dreams of cinema and now devotes himself to fiction projects (feature and short films) that he continues to develop with Stéphane Valette.
