Director Biography - Rachel Whittle, Matthew Garvin
Rachel G. Whittle is a filmmaker from Lafayette, Louisiana. She has worked in multiple capacities behind and in front of camera. Filmmaking takes a village, and creative arts is a Whittle family affair. Her husband Matt Whittle works as a set designer in films and theater, as well as a comedic actor, and her daughter Adeleine is a film and stage actress/singer. They love creating things together, and their most recent filmmaking venture is a production company called A Dangerous Flock, the brainchild of their brilliant creative partner, Matt Garvin. Left unattended in front of a TV as a toddler, Matthew Garvin absorbed countless hours of late-night cinema and comedy troupe shows. He parlayed these habits into storytelling and set out into the world of filmmaking. Matt set out on a quest to be more than a PA fetching a director their coffee, he decided to be his own director and get his own coffee. That adventure ran him head first into The Whittles. Quickly recovering from their head trauma they’ve picked up a few award nods in writing, acting and directing. Matt currently remains without parental supervision.
